Aneurysm clips
Metal springs
Unable to remain still for your exam
Have a breathing problem
For contrast:
If you have a history of kidney problems or chemotherapy , please contact our office
Day of the exam:
Arrive 15 minutes before scan time
Leave valuables at home including jewelry
Remove body jewelry
Do not wear make up for head, neck or shoulder exams
Remove any skin patches (nicotine, etc)
Do not wear lotions with metallic glitter or shine
Dress in clothes with no metal in the fabric or added
If you forget the above we have make-up remover towelettes and gowns to prepare you for the study.
Claustrophobic patients should request a light medication for anxiety from their physician and bring a driver to your exam. Also arrive 20 minutes before to take the medication on premises.
